When you are our guest at our home stay, all you need to do is to place your order. Let us know what you cannot eat or don’t like to eat, and we will bear that in mind when cooking exclusively for you. What you will get, for sure, is a taste of our regional delicacies, whether veg or non-veg. Rich tastes, but simply prepared, just like Mother’s cooking.
The signal flavors of our cuisine are reasons enough for our guests to come back and stay with us repeatedly. After all, we’re a home away from home. And, what’s more, at the end of your eventful days here, you always eat dinner outdoors in the company of a bonfire.
Itinerary
Your days here will be packed with not just excitement and trekking but also doing other outdoorsy things like visiting the numerous waterfalls on your way, taking in the serenity of the banks of the River Bhadra and Sunset Point, and perhaps any other Chikmagalur places along the way. All in a vehicle just for you, and with food and accommodation for two days. This means you enjoy 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners and 2 evening snacks.
Day one
Arrive at the home stay by 7 a.m. Freshen up and have breakfast by 8 a.m. Leave the home stay at 9 a.m. and proceed to Kudremukha peak base camp in our 4WD off-road vehicle (either Jeep or pick-up). The trek begins at 10 a.m. It will take you about 4 to 5 hours to reach the tip of the peak and a further 4 hours to return to base camp. The trek will therefore go on for 8 hours through the day.
Night one
Return to the home stay and freshen up by 6 p.m and enjoy snacks. Dinner at 9 p.m, depending on your choice of veg or non-veg in the company of a warm and inviting bonfire. Our en-suite accommodation, excellent meals and overall comfort levels will make this an unforgettable holiday for you.
Day Two
Have your breakfast at 8 a. m. and head for the Elaneeru Waterfalls by 9 a.m. and from there to the Amba Theertha river bank and suspension bridge by 2 p.m. From here, reach the Kyathanmakki 360 degree Sunset hill station view point by 4 p.m. and take in all the amazing and picturesque views from this point. Return to the home stay by 6 p.m., have your evening snacks and freshen up by 7.30 p.m.
Night Two
On this night, you will have an entirely vegetarian dinner, again at 9 p.m. with a bonfire. The next morning, checkout after breakfast.
